HM Courts & Tribunals Service (HMCTS) with effect from 1 April 2011

Decisions on appeals from the Traffic Commissioners

Decisions of Upper Tribunal Administrative Appeals Chamber and the former Transport Tribunal

These lists are provided to help specialists keep up to date with the latest cases. They are updated as new decisions are added to the database, selected for reporting or upheld/reversed in the superior courts.

Note: decisions on common procedural issues can be found under the relevant search categories in the main search engine.

If you are interested in a specific issue that is not covered by the list try searching the Notes field on the Search for Decisions page by key word.

Note: From September 2009 the Upper Tribunal Administrative Appeals Chamber has taken over the work of the former Transport Tribunal in dealing with appeals from the Traffic Commissioners.

Other appeals previously considered by the former Transport Tribunal are now heard by the General Regulatory Chamber of the First-tier Tribunal. Appeals from those decisions now go to the Administrative Appeals Chamber to be heard as appeals on points of law.

The former Transport Tribunal maintained a digest of its decisions, which you may go to by the link above. This includes decisions now going to the First-tier Tribunal as well as to the Upper Tribunal.

Decisions on procedure should now be considered in the context of the new Tribunal Procedure Rules applying to those chambers.
